Editorial responsibility for this site rests here. He decides which platforms belong in the comparison, what each entry is allowed to claim, and which assertions are solid enough to print at all. The credentials behind that — the strategy work, the speaking, the books, the awards, the years in newsrooms — are summarised in the author block at the foot of the front page and are deliberately not restated on this one.

What carries over from the journalism years is a habit rather than a specialism: check the primary document, name whoever supplied a number, and print the correction faster than the mistake spread.

Where that background runs out

He does not buy media full time on the platforms ranked here, and this page prefers saying so to letting a list of achievements imply otherwise. There is no continuous spend across all eight, no account-manager relationship at any of them, and no ability to recall from memory what a push click was clearing at in Brazil last week.

That limit shapes how the site is written. Observations that require an operator's chair — clearing prices, creative fatigue curves, source-level performance — are attributed to the buyers who reported them and framed as spreads, never presented as personal experience. Facts anyone can verify by registering and reading a screen are stated directly. The grading behind that split is documented in the evidence tiers.

Working rules

• No platform is added, moved or removed in exchange for payment.
• A weakness observed in a platform is printed even when that platform is the commercial partner.
• Numbers are read from the source before they are published, never copied from a competing page.
• A demonstrated error is corrected the day the evidence arrives, in place, with the review date moved.
